The blue/green and the anomalous yellow/red areas in ( a ) are representative of background and endogenous population, respectively. The CO 2 fluxes shown in ( b ) are typical of the soil background values. Therefore, the different colors can only be attributed to the different types of vegetation cover. The figure was created using the WinGslib 1.5.6 open-source software ( http://www.gslib.com/ ) and postprocessed through the ArcMap 10.2.2 software ( https://www.esri.com/en-us/arcgis/products/arcgis-desktop/resources ).
